I have been a hobbyist photographer since I was a teenager snapping with my mother’s Polaroid and excitedly shaking the picture until the image came out. I had dreams of doing proper dark room developing.
However, my education ultimately moved away from the arts, and it remained simply a hobby through my adult years.
As a result, most of my photographs have been more about capturing memories instead of doing it as an art. So holidays, pets, and children.
I have a fascination with nature, particularly how nature can overtake the attempts of humans to civilize it. The sparkle of a stream. The power of a storm. The simple perfection of a rainbow.
As a poor single parent and a transgender man, I am also interested in activism at the intersection of feminism, race, disability, poverty, and transgender issues.
